Hatchet a well written 191 page book by Gary Paulsen is filled with adventure. In the book Brian Robeson a thirteen-year old boy is flying out to see his father, but the pilot has a heart attack so Brain tries to fly the bush plane alone which doen't work. After many hours of Brian flying the plane himself he crashes into a lake in the forest and now its just him vs. nature which is the main conflict in this story. In the end, after two months of thriving on his own Brian is finally found by a man in a plane. The main conflict in the book Hatchet would be man vs. nature, because Brian has to try and live on his own.
In this book the main conflict is Man vs. nature. This is the main conflict, because Brian had to learn to survive in order to live. Also because Brian had many encounters getting hurt because of nature, like getting pricked by a porky pine. This book is recommended mostly for people all ages who love a great adventure book. The book Hatchet is probaly trying to show that you shouldnt give up and you should stay strong.
