Boy of the Painted Cave
Boy of the Painted Cave by Justin Denzel has 158 pages filled with drama, adventure, and action. The main characters in this story are Tao, Ram, and Graybeard, with clan leader Volt as the antagonist. In the book Tao is an unloved, bad footed, 14 year old, cave painting boy that does taboo. In the story painting is forbidden even though Tao does it any way. And when Tao leaves his village to go off on his own he meets Graybeard a cave painter who helps Tao become a real cave painter. Slough is an important setting in Boy of the Painted Cave. Slough is an important setting in this book, because many differnt events happen in this beautiful, green, full of game, wilderness. If Slough hadn't have been in this book Tao would not have had enough food for himself or the Valley People. Tao would've also never met Ram a wolf dog if Slough wasn't in the book. But the most important event in Slough would be Graybeard and Tao meeting, because that's the event that makes the book Boy of the Painted so interesting.
